Caramel Apple Rice Krispies

Caramel Apple Rice Krispies are the perfect fall treat and they are super easy to make!

Equipment

  • Non-stick cooking spray
  • 9×13″ baking pan
  • 4″ circle cookie cutter
  • Parchment paper
  • Decorating bags
  • Lollipop sticks

Ingredients

  • 10 oz Marshmallows
  • 6 cups Rice Kripses cereal
  • 3 tbsp butter softened
  • 2 cups green candy melts
  • 2 cups caramel candy melts

Instructions

  • Prepare your Rice Krispie Treats by adding your marshmallows to a large microwave safe mixing bowl with 3 tablespoons of butter, heat for about 1 minute and mix.
  • Mix in the Rice Krispies Cereal 3 cups at a time and scoop into a greased 9×13″ baking pan. Let set for an hour and use a circle cookie cutter to cut into circles.
  • Place your circle Rice Krispie Treats onto a piece of parchment paper.
  • Heat your candy melts in separate microwave safe bowls on 50% power for 3-4 minutes, stirring every 30 seconds until melted.
  • Pour the candy melts into two separate bags and cut a small tip off the ends.
  • Frost the top of each Rice Krispie Treat with the melted green candy melts into the shape of an apple and let harden.
  • Use the melted caramel candy melts to frost a caramel topping onto each Caramel Apple Rice Krispies and let harden.
  • Place a lollipop stick into the bottom of each Caramel Apple and enjoy these Caramel Apple Rice Krispies.
