1cupConfectioner's Sugar
4tbspMilk
Black Decorating Frosting
24Candy Googly Eyes
Instructions
Ensure that your cookies are cool before decorating. Start by prepping your fondant “bandages.” Line a baking sheet with wax paper and set aside.
Lightly dust a clean working surface with cornstarch. Also, add some on your rolling pin.
Roll out your fondant so that it’s about 1/4 of an inch thick. Cut into long strips and set carefully on your lined baking sheet.
Time for the buttercream: using an electric mixer, beat butter, confectioners’ sugar, and milk on medium speed. Gradually increase to high until smooth. Your buttercream is ready once it forms semi-stiff peaks.
Using an offset spatula, spread buttercream on each cookie.
At the top of your cookie, around where you’d place your mummy’s eyes, spread a small dollop of black decorating icing. Top it with your candy googly eyes.
This is where the fun starts: start spreading your fondant strips on random parts of your cookies. Trim where necessary.
Notes
If you don't have sugar cookies, use this easy soft sugar cookie recipe. If you find your buttercream too runny, you can add more icing sugar, 1 tbsp at a time. If it’s too thick, add 1 tbsp of milk at a time.
