Tips On Using These Heart Printable Pages:
All kinds of digital printables can be used as crafting templates, just like these heart printable PDF templates I’ve designed. Although it might seem easy enough to cut our own heart shapes, it’s actually not that easy for little kids. And oftentimes you want a pre-made shape to ensure consistency. Especially for younger children who are just learning to cut along lines, it’s better to give them a template to work off of.
First and foremost, you can use any kind of printable shape as a template for stenciling. Whether you want to cut out the heart shape and make your own stencil or use the hearts with temporary tape to block off a design, these templates can be very helpful in your crafting projects. From cardmaking to country painting, it helps to be able to print out as many copies as you need, especially if you are making a whole set of the same item and want to keep the shape consistent.
One tip to consider is to resize your digital printable to your needs. Remember that you can manipulate the digital files before printing, whether using a graphic program, photocopying machine or changing the percentage in your printer options.
Alternatively, you can also use any of these heart printable template pages as a coloring page for kids and adults alike. It’s a simple shape that is easy for little kids to color, but you can also be challenged if you draw patterns or zentangle within the empty spaces.
You can also consider filling the shapes with different media and not just traditional crayons, colored pencils or markers. Consider using paint or collage elements to create a work of art for framing. You can also glue a variety of objects inside the shape to make a beautiful collaged piece in the end!
Finally, I also like to use these heart printable PDF template pages for learning games. To practice a bit of math, consider counting games. Use snacks or candies in each shape, so you can count and snack at the same time. You can also add pieces or take away pieces, teaching your kids math operations as well.
You can also play grouping games, grouping similar items in each respective template shape. Perhaps items of similar colors or similar usage. Or put little groups together and ask them to remove the one that doesn’t fit with the group. Or rearrange items to all be in their respective groups. You can easily do this with lego shapes or even pasta in the kitchen! These are simple and fun games to play with kids that help develop important educational concepts.
