The best part about this play dough is that it only takes a few minutes to whip up, but offers hours of fun for your little ones!
What’s really cute about this play dough is that it gets more and more colorful as you play with it. The play dough itself is a white base, but the sprinkles‘ colors spread within the dough itself… so the more it is used, the more colors will come out!

Tips on Making Your Very Own Sprinkle Play Dough
Is Sprinkle Play Dough Edible?
Technically, yes, this recipe for Sprinkle Play Dough is edible. However, it won’t taste the greatest since it’s mainly made up of flour and salt.
If ingested, it wouldn’t be harmful. I tend to tell my kiddos to NOT eat it, just so that they get in the habit of not putting any sort of play dough in their mouths (whether homemade or store-bought).
Can I Use Any Kinds Of Sprinkles?
Absolutely! The addition of sprinkles is what makes this particular play dough so much fun! In these particular photos, we used nonpareils sprinkles, but you can use any that you like.
How Do I Prevent My Sprinkle Play Dough From Drying Out?
When you’re not playing with your sprinkle play dough, be sure to store it in a sealed freezer bag or airtight container. If it gets a little tough, just add some water to it (one teaspoon at a time) and knead it to get it back into its normal texture.
Refrigerating it is not necessary – it’s just important to keep it in something that’s airtight to keep it from drying out!
