I love creating resources to make your packed day more stress-free.
As the mom of a 17 year old, 13 year old and 9 year old, I know exactly how chaotic mornings would get when my then 4 or 5 year old insisted on wanting to do everything independently.
I wish I thought of having a morning routine checklist to mark off to help them remember to do the “important things.”

A morning routine checklist is a great checklist to help young children remember to go through their morning routine and develop a sense of responsibility and confidence in remembering to follow through on the important morning tasks before setting off for school.
How Can I Introduce The Morning Routine Checklist to My Child and Make It Fun?
Now this will depend on what excites your child.
When my oldest daughter was young, nothing made her day more than a sticker.
For some kids, it may be getting a sticker at the end of the day if all the tasks are marked off and done in the morning.
For other kids, you could have them pick a favorite treat or small prize at the end of the week when all five days have been marked off.
Once your child gets used to the routine, the fun rewards can be slowly weaned off.
What You Need For the Morning Routine Checklist:
Each checklist features seven morning tasks for each school week: Monday-Friday. You may print as many copies as needed and choose to print either in full color or black and white.
You will need-
- White paper
- A Home Printer
- The printable file (scroll further down in this post to get this.)
One Way to Save On Printing This Morning Routine Checklist Every Week
If you’re looking for a way to save on printing a checklist every week. Print a full-color version once and laminate the sheet.
Your child can use a dry-erase marker to mark off each task or stick small stickers to indicate a task completed.
When the week is complete, you can erase the check marks or remove the stickers to start afresh the next week.
Alternatively, you can frame the checklist and use a dry-erase marker or stickers on the frame’s glass, or preferably plastic.
