Hocus Pocus really takes me back to my childhood, so when I heard about the release of Hocus Pocus 2, I was ecstatic. Once the news broke out, my sister and I immediately texted each other and said, “We HAVE to watch it together!”
So when its release date finally rolled around, I knew I had to make it special with a Hocus Pocus Watch Party.
If you aren’t familiar with Hocus Pocus, it’s a classic Halloween movie that follows the story of three mischievous witches, the Sanderson sisters, who are accidentally resurrected in modern-day Salem by a group of unsuspecting kids.
The witches, who are determined to achieve eternal youth, wreak havoc as they chase the children through the town, casting spells and causing chaos. Full of humor, magic, and a little bit of fright, Hocus Pocus is a delightful blend of spooky fun that’s perfect for the whole family.

Put Up Some Halloween-Themed Party Decorations
What’s a Hocus Pocus Watch Party without some thematic decorations? I used my Cricut to create a cardstock bat garland. I also quickly put together a frame that said: “I Put a Spell On You, And Now You’re Mine.”
To add a finishing touch, I ran to our local dollar store and picked up some small Halloween goodies to add to our table.
A Sweet and Salty Charcuterie Board
Our viewing party really only consisted of me, my sister, and the kiddos: so I didn’t want to do anything too elaborate (and have the food go to waste). For our treats, I put together a small sweet and salty charcuterie board with some Hocus Pocus-themed food. For lunch, I ordered pizza, breadsticks, and chicken wings.
Again, we kept it simple but still as close to the theme as possible: so it really feel like a party, even if it was just the four of us.

I can never say no to a batch of Two-Bite Brownies, so my Witch Cauldron Brownies are one of my favorite things to make for Halloween. They’re SO easy to make!
To make these Witch Cauldron Brownies, all you need are your brownie bites (store bought or homemade), some green frosting, and pretzels. They’re quick to assemble, look absolutely adorable, and are sure to be a hit with both kids and adults alike! Get instructions here.
Spellbook Brownies
“Booook!” I can almost hear Winifred calling for “Book” every time I look at these brownies. I used an instant brownie mix to make the brownies then decorated them with black and white frosting. Get the instructions here.
