Caramel Apple Rice Krispies Treats Tips
Here’s a few pro tips you can keep in mind before you start with your first batch of caramel apple Rice Krispies.
Tip #1 – Cool the Krispies
If you don’t wait for your Rice Krispies to cool down, you’ll end up with a huge mess. You wont be able to make neat stripes if it’s still hot.
Tip #2 – Measure Accurately
Yes, I know, it’s JUST marshmallows and cereal. However, if you want your snack to turn out to cut out neatly, you need to follow the exact measurements that are given on the recipe card below. I’ve had many trials runs with different ratios to test which works the best, so trust me on this.
Tip #3 – Serve Without The Sticks
I made them look like caramel apples by making rice krispies treats pops with the stick. This also makes them easier to eat and keeps hands from getting sticky.
But if you don’t have sticks, don’t worry! It’s totally fine to serve the Rice Krispies treats without them. Place them on a serving tray and pick them up with your hands.
Do they taste like caramel apples?
There isn’t any apple flavoring or any apples in the Rice Krispie pops. But the green food coloring looks like the bottom of an apple. These taste like caramel Rice Krispie pops with frosting.
