Coffee Filter Snowflakes Tips
How should I fold the coffee filter to make them into snowflakes?
The key to making easy coffee filter snowflakes is simply by folding them three times over. Lay your coffee filter flat on a smooth service. First, you want to fold it halfway, upwards. Then, fold it halfway going towards the right, then fold it this way again.

How should I cut my coffee filter snowflake?
This is where the fun begins! To create the final look of your coffee filter snowflake, cut shapes along the edges of your folded filter, taking care to not cut all the way through to the center (so as not to cut your coffee filter into pieces). This will help maintain the snowflake shape.
Be sure your child is ready for scissors
Because this activity requires the use of scissors, we recommend that this project be completed with adult supervision, and with children who are at the age/ready for the use of craft scissors.
Use white coffee filters
To make these snowflakes look like the real deal, we recommend using white coffee filters (as opposed to the beige/natural ones).

Hang them on a string
There are tons of ways you can display these cute DIY snowflakes. My favorite is by hanging them on a string and using them to create a holiday garland. But be careful! Because these are made with coffee filters, they’re pretty delicate – so be sure you add them onto the string with care.
