Craft Tips
Here are some step-by-step picture and a few extra tips that will make this craft even easier!
Use Glue That Is Age-Appropriate
For preschool or kindergarten kiddos, I like to let them use glue sticks. They can apply the glue all over the plate without making a mess. Older kiddos can use white school glue.
For this craft I don’t recommend using a hot glue gun. It will leave too many strings and it’s not easy to use with the cotton balls. A glue stick or white school glue is best.
Pre-Cut The Sheep Pieces
If you have smaller kiddos, do this part for them. Older kids can probably handle this step. You don’t need a printable template for this step – just hand-draw the pieces.
If you want to have even more fun with it, use pipe cleaners for the ears.
I glued the face on top of the cotton balls. For this, I found that glue sticks were not strong enough, so I used white school glue.
Make The Sign
To make it even more special, let your child handwrite the text on the sign and even sign their name. If they are younger, let them write a note on the back instead.
Then, glue the sign to the front or back of the plate – this is up to you.
That’s it! All of the exact steps and details are in the printable card – have fun crafting!
