Printable Tips and Ideas for Corn Coloring Pages
I’ve posted many coloring pages here on the blog and they are super easy to use. You can find any theme or subject to download and print at home. Whether they are JPG or PDF files, you can easily download, save to your computer and print as many copies as you need. They are usually black and white illustrations that are ready for your kids to color up.
Coloring Activity Bag
As a mom of three young kiddos, I know that any outdoor trip or excursion will have down times. And it’s part of the job to keep the kids happy and patient, especially during wait times. I’ve created a coloring activity bag for our family that includes all the essentials for passing time. I’ve pre-printed plenty of coloring pages for the kids to choose from in a full-sized zippered tote. Then I’ve included a few pencil cases with coloring pencils, crayons and markers. You can also include glue, tape, stickers, scissors and other supplies that you might already have in your stash.
Another tip is to include random toys, fidget spinners or small items that you don’t mind losing. Especially with my younger one, she always misplaces items or loses them on a trip. So I usually have items that are semi-disposable or I wouldn’t mind losing anyway.
Out little activity bag is an essential bag to pack when doing anything with the kids – whether it’s during the regular school year or summertime when we take more trips. As an extra tip – also pack snacks and treats that last a long time if possible. It’s always a nice surprise for the kids and items that last can be kept in the bag without worrying about spoiling.
Variations and Challenges in Coloring
Coloring pages are definitely the most budget-friendly and easy activity to present to your kids. However, you can also mix things up by introducing some games that multiple kids can participate in or with you as a parent. If you are traveling with family, don’t forget to involve aunties and uncles as well!
For every coloring page design, you can print out multiple copies so that they can be colored up with different media, in different colors and together with another companion. You will be surprised how the simplest activity can be really fun, especially for little kids, if you just spend some time and do it along with them. Ultimately, your kids will always want your attention more than anything else.
Alternatively, you can give siblings a challenge with competitions regarding coloring up the same image. Or perhaps invite them to draw and add to the coloring page illustration as well. Without any other supplies, you can still present different types of games and challenges just using coloring pages.

Corn Coloring Pages in the Kitchen
Finally, consider introducing these coloring pages when your family actually eats some corn in the meal itself. The kids can help with cooking or color up the pages while you prepare the meal. All the while, you can use the opportunity as a teaching moment to talk about this vegetable and all the ways it shows up in our lives and cuisines.
