This baseball handprint craft is a sweet keepsake gift your child can give dad on his birthday, Father’s Day, or perhaps even to a baseball-loving family member. If your child plays on a baseball team, thank the Coach of his team with this sweet baseball handprint craft and a special baseball-themed gift.
How To Make This Baseball Handprint Craft
I believe crafts should not have skill levels attached to them. Everyone should be able to enjoy making a craft irrespective of their skill level. This one is easy.
Simply draw your child’s handprint outline on card stock, cut out the handprint. Then download and print the baseball template and cut out the baseball of choice.
Glue the baseball to the handprint and that’s it!
Easy peasy!
What You Need:
- Brown card stock paper (or construction paper) or a color of your choice
- A pair of scissors
- A pencil
- A glue stick

What Paper Is Best For Handprint Art?
While you can use regular construction paper, I like to consider this craft to be a keepsake, kind of like a thank you card or appreciation card. Hence, I would recommend using card stock paper.
Using brown card stock makes the handprint look like a baseball mitt. You could also use white card stock and have your child trace his/her hand’s outline and color it brown or the color of choice.
Is there a way to make this baseball handprint craft a keepsake that will last?
Yes! All you need is a lamination machine to laminate the handprint and the baseball. It will be harder to glue the laminated baseball to the laminated handprint with a regular glue stick. You must use a hot glue gun to ensure both hold together well.
Can my child write his own message on the craft?
Yes, of course! The baseball template includes designs without text, allowing older children to write a message on the baseball or for younger ones to draw a picture.
