Printable Tips for Santa Coloring Pages PDF Download
Digital coloring pages are usually JPG or PDF files that you can download and print at home. The great thing about digital files is that you can print as many copies as you need. When you know there will be many guests during the holiday season, you might as well create a little activity corner for coloring and crafting. With everyday supplies like crayons and colored pencils, coloring pages are a go-to activity to offer to kids and adults.
Print on Alternative or Colored Paper
It is the easiest and most straight-forward to print coloring page designs onto regular white printer paper. However, if you happen to have other types of paper in your stash, consider printing on colored paper, kraft paper, vellum and anything else your printer will take. This is a great way to offer a bit of variety to your kids and the adults who might enjoy coloring on some specialty paper.
Use Non-Traditional Materials
Also, with different types of paper you can suggest other craft activities using these Santa coloring pages. With cardstock or sturdier papers you can glue colored items like candies or glitter to compose the final image. If you print on watercolor paper, adults can enjoy painting with watercolors!
Don’t limit yourself to only markers, crayons and colored pencils. Remember that you can color an image with paint, collage papers, crepe paper balls or even pasta. There are a variety of household materials that can be used to decorate and play with. Just use the coloring page design as a template for your craft idea. Your imagination is the only limit.
Use it for Gift Wrapping and More
Additionally, you can consider using the finished pieces your kids create for wrapping small gifts, making cards or even gift tags. We can enjoy our time simply coloring up images, but remember that each piece is a finished handmade work of art! So you can definitely get creative and use it as a starting point for another craft project.
My suggestion is to create a coloring page corner or nook with a bunch of supplies ready to go. Print a variety of coloring pages, stock up on coloring and art supplies or simply raid your own craft stash. You will be creating a fun space where your kids and guests can stop by for some fun crafting time.
