Printable Tips for Using These Printable Penguin Coloring Pages
I believe that digital coloring pages are super versatile for coloring and crafting at home. They usually come as JPG or PDF files that you can download to your computer and print as needed. During the winter holidays, I know that my kids will need ideas to fill up certain times when they are bored. So I like to create an activity table in the corner of their room with a bunch of supplies, so it’s always ready for when inspiration or boredom hits!
Printables for Coloring and Crafting
Of course, digital coloring pages are perfect for printing and simply coloring up. For kids and even adults, it’s a relaxing activity and you can create multiple versions and variations as well, just to play with crayons, colored pencils, or markers.
However, remember that these black and white coloring page designs are also perfect as templates for crafting. Although they are designed to be colored up, you can use the images to craft with as well. You can use the shapes as a template for making cards or art prints. You can also print out the pages at a much smaller size to create Christmas tags for gifts. The ideas are endless and it’s a nice way to give your kids an objective. Tell them you really need a bunch of tags for kids or a few festive signs to hang up as decoration. My kids are always up to the tasks!
Expand Coloring to Writing and Storytelling
For older children, I often try to make coloring time a bit more exciting and engaging. Especially for my son who is older and a bit over coloring in general, I often have to expand the activity to something more to his skill level. So besides coloring up pages, try to pair up activities like storytelling or writing the story that could accompany the image. It’s a great way to make the activity last longer and it’s also something that they can share with family members to interact more when guests are visiting during the holidays.
Painting and Other Art Supplies
Finally, we usually think of using traditional materials for coloring pages like crayons, colored pencils, or markers. However, you can just as easily print on watercolor or painting paper to use all kinds of paint mediums. This is especially great for adults or older kids who want something a bit more challenging. You can create beautiful art pieces using digital coloring page designs and they can end up being artworks to frame in the end! So don’t hesitate to use other coloring materials and supplies in your craft stash with these printable penguin coloring pages.
