Are you or your kids really into unicorns? If so, check out these cute unicorn rice krispie treats! Unlike this fun toast, these rice Krispie treats actually look like unicorns.
This unicorn toast is more suited to younger kiddos. It’s more unicorn-themed than actually looking like a unicorn.
The best part is that it is really easy to customize them too! You can use whatever colors you want. Then, add your favorite sprinkles.
Even though it looks like I put frosting on top of an English Muffin, I promise I did not! They are covered in colorful cream cheese. Yup! This colorful breakfast treat is actually pretty good for you.
So, if you are looking for a way to help your kiddos enjoy a fun and healthy breakfast, this recipe is for you!
How to Make Fabulous Unicorn Toast
Get as detailed or go as simple as you want with this fun and creative idea for breakfast.
What You Need:
Hereās what youāll need from the store. The exact amounts are in the printable recipe card at the bottom of this post.
Kitchen Tools Needed:
All you need to make this unicorn toast is some mixing bowls and a toaster.
Ingredients Needed:
- Cream Cheese
- Sugar
- Gel food colorings of your choice (I chose red and yellow)
- English muffin, toasted
- Sprinkles
Unicorn Toast Tips
Since all the exact steps are in the printable recipe card, I’ll just share a few extra tips here for you.
Use Softened Cream Cheese
Since you are going to mix food coloring into the cream cheese, you need to let the cream cheese soften first. Trying to mix cold cream cheese is very frustrating.
Use A Piping Bag
Go for some extra flair! Create your own custom work of art with a piping bag. Make fun shapes or even a unicorn face on the toast.
Have Fun With Sprinkles
There are tons of different kinds of sprinkles out there! Have fun and use a bunch of different kinds.
Don’t Mix The Colors
Apply separate dollops on your toast and with a butter knife, spread and blend (but don’t mix) the colors.
Decorate With Fruit
To make the unicorn toast even healthier, add some fruit on top! Red strawberries, mandarin oranges, and blueberries are just a few fun options you can use.
Above all, just have fun with this breakfast idea for kids!
